SOAR Value

In 2026, three existing state-funded programs (Senior Care, SALS, and Congregate Housing) were consolidated into Supporting Older Adults with Resources (SOAR) to better support healthy aging, caregiving, and housing stability to a larger older adult population. A small program with big impact, data indicates a growing demand for SOAR services and significant value to Maryland communities.
